The powerplay was an absolute mess this season, and if the Flyers want to be competitive next season, they must improve this aspect of their game.

With all the transformations to come - with notably a new head coach - Chuck Fletcher is looking at a former Flyer' to help the struggling powerplay : Mark Recchi.
"That same source indicated that two more of Recchi's former teams that he played for, the Philadelphia Flyers and the Boston Bruins, as well as the Dallas Stars, whom Mark Recchi worked for in a player development role, will likely be ringing the three-time Stanley Cup Champion, if they haven't already," wrote Jimmy Murphy.

Recchi registered 623 points in 602 games with the Philadelphia Flyers.
