The first day of rookie camp has ended and it was time to sit down an speak with the available players and coaches in attendance. The head coach of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms spoke with the media today and these are some of the topics and discussions from the press conference.

When asked if there was a player or players, he has had experience with from last year, how did they look today? His direct answer was focused on Zamula and Wyatt Wylie and the work put in this offseason
"They are only 22 years old so there isn't much to worry about, but they both know they needed to put weight on and that's what being a pro is all about. You have to recognize you have a weakness and address it during the summer. Especially weight wise"

Ronnie Attard was on the mind of coach as well. His impressive size and skill were something of mention. He also gives an update on when we will see him in action.

"That Attard is a big boy. I don't think he will play tomorrow, but Iam looking forward to seeing him play on Saturday. You only have so many games and so many players to choose from."

The relationship with John Tortorella is going to be an important one. Lappy had a strong relationship with Alain Vignault and when asked about Torts, here was his response.
"Great relationship, great first meeting. I saw him a couple of times. You play your system you want to play; you do your thing, you have to win down there, and I am going to take care of my team. Thats a different philosophy, but he's the boss, so i am going to do what he is telling me to do, but we are pretty much playing the same system."

He expressed the importance of conditioning and is excited to see what the Tort's camp will bring.
