Nathan MacKinnon appeared to have tweaked something at morning practice yesterday and when asked about it, head coach, Jared Bednar, gave a dry response about the undisclosed injury.
MacKinnon is Colorado's offensive superstar that is one of the most consistent studs in the game. He has consistently been north of 90 points a season and hasn't had a negative +/- since 2016.
When on the ice, Bednar loves to get the offense rolling through MacKinnon as he can snipe it home or set up a teammate at any given moment.
With this injury, we wonder if MacKinnon will be good to go for the season opener this upcoming Wednesday against the Blackhawks.
Luckily, it doesn't seem to be anything serious, so even if he misses a game or two he will be ready to go when he does come back.
