There has been a very concerning trend lately going on in minor hockey, and that's violence and fighting may be going overboard.
Last week a highschool hockey player and his father were charged with assault after the player left the ice to go fight another parent in the stands.
Last night, a men's hockey league game also known as beer league hockey would start chirping at each other during a game in New Brunswick. The two would end up throwing hands in the entrance way of the rink, having the officials have to try to break it up.
Suspensions or possibly even bans will likely be handed down to the players once this is all said and done. We don't know what caused the altercation but either way this type of stuff makes are sport look bad.
