Flyers goaltender Felix Sandstrom got his first NHL win in front of the home crowd against the St Louis Blues by a score of 5-1.
Prior to this game, Carter Hart was supposed to get the start against the Blues, however he fell ill and was unable to play.
This is Sandstrom's second season with the Flyers and produced a record of 0-4-0 with a 3.23 GAA and .910 SV% in 2021-2022. This season he continued a winless streak of 0-3-0 with a 3.78 GAA and .874 save percentage going into tonight's contest.

He produced a great game tonight keeping the St Louis Blues in check, he continued to make terrific saves to keep the Flyers rolling and allow the offense to go to work.
In the third period when the Blues were pressing hard and the shot total was 12 to 8 with many good scoring chances, Sandstrom shut the door to preserve the win.
Noah Coates weighed in on the victory tonight.
Sandstrom stopped 27 of 28 shots which produced a .964 SV%. Hopefully this will continue to build this player's confidence and continue to bring in more wins.
