The Philadelphia Flyers have had one of the most surprising seasons in the NHL this year. Once thought to be one of the worst teams in the league, they currently hold a playoff spot.
They have come back to Earth a little this last week with losing four straight games, they have drama surrounding their star goalie Carter Hart and now he has taken an indefinite leave of absence, and their breakout playmaker and goal scorer Owen Tippett is on IR.
Despite their success this season, GM Danny Briere has said this is still a rebuilding year. This all points to the Flyers being sellers at the deadline and trying to take advantage of some of the returns they can get for coveted players who might not have a future in Philadelphia.
A recent report states that the Dallas Stars are interested in Defenseman Sean Walker to bolster their defense. Walker is in the final year of a 4-year deal he signed with the Kings before he was sent over to the Flyers in the deal that sent Ivan Provorov to the Blue Jackets.

Walker has been a great addition to these Flyers, but it seems like his time in Philly may be short lived due to the nature of the NHL business and the assets he could bring back to the Flyers rebuilding efforts.
