In some serious, not-so-pleasing business, a pending Hockey Canada investigation still hangs in the balance for multiple NHL players who were a part of the 2018 World Junior Championship Canada team. The players involved in the sexual assault allegations were expected to be reported months ago, yet not one person has been named, punished, fined, or suspended for their involvement.
Flyers goaltender Carter Hart was a part of that 2018 World Junior team, they rumour that he may have taken part in the sexual misconduct. The matter is he is innocent till proven guilty, but nobody knows for certain how this issue will unfold neither does the organization's management staff. Danny Briere has been fairly quiet regarding the accusations and Carter Hart's connection, if any. However, Briere was asked a loaded question on the pending Hockey Canada investigation.
The Flyers GM states the team has asked about the situation. Nobody is budging. He, like many hockey fans, thought that something should/would have been done over the summer. Everyone is left out of the loop currently and it appears it will stay that way until further notice.
