The Philadelphia Flyers made significant moves today to secure the future of their team by re-signing forward Noah Cates and defenseman Cam York.

Cates agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $5.25 million, with an average annual value of $2.625 million, while York signed a two-year deal worth $3.2 million ($1.6 million AAV).
General Manager Daniel Briere played a key role in finalizing these important deals.
York, 22, had an impressive season, registering 20 points in 54 games with the Flyers and 13 points in 20 games with the Lehigh Valley AHL team. His contributions on the blue line were invaluable, ranking high among Flyers defensemen in assists and scoring.
