Throughout his NHL coaching career, Jack Adams and Stanley Cup champion John Tortorella have always shared their professional views with the local media. Sometimes it can be very combative and aggressive, while other times it can be a moment of clarity with how his vision of playing hockey is told.
The Flyers were victorious against the reigning Stanley Cup champions on Monday evening , he gave a very detailed view of how he saw the game unfold and where he felt the Flyers could improve.
During his explanation, he kept repeating the words «situational play» which he later explained was a term he created for players to understand when you need to take control of a game, or even close out one and how to handle it. Tortorella continued to speak on footage that the team will need to go over, it is a great sign to see Tortorella holding players accountable even after a win.

As he explained further with a smile, the Flyers certainly have more work to do and stating the veterans are in the same category as young players when it comes to a couple of bad plays near the end of the game.
''I'm not talking about the young guys'' Torts said, i am referring to the older guys.
Safe to say there will be a lot of video reviews and teaching moments ahead for this young team.
Way to hold them accountable regardless of a win!
