Don't Call Johnathan Huberdeau Johnny Hockey Just Yet

However, the Flames got a huge return in Johnathan Huberdeau, Mackenzie Weegar, prospect Cole Schwindt, and a first round pick. Unfortunately Flames fans didn't like this trade because of the fact both Weegar, and especially Huberdeau are pending unrestricted free agents next summer.

The Flames would get a glimpse of hope when both Huberdeau and Weegar said they would be opened to re-signing in Calgary. However, like I said don't call Huberdeau Johhny Hockey just yet,

While Huberdeau admitted he'd be open to staying Huberdeau is looking at making some big money and would be highly sought after if he hits the market next summer, which looks like it might be the case.

One fan seems to believe based off of Huberdeau's statement that he doesn't have any intention of staying beyond this year.
