The Edmonton Oilers have traded forward Zack Kassian to the Arizona Coyotes along with the 29th overall pick, a 2024 third and 2025 second. In return they got the 32nd overall selection held by Arizona (from Colorado).
The Coyotes then selected Maveric Lamoureux, a 6'7 defenceman out of the QMJHL.
This deal was a cap dump as the Oilers retain none of Kassian's contract. This move is saving them 3.2 million over the next two seasons.
