Evander Kane is a great hockey player. No doubt about it. He scored 13 goals during the Oilers playoff run. In the regular season, the left winger registered 39 points in 43 games with Edmonton.

He is set to become a UFA this summer, and there's no doubt that the Oilers would want to bring him back. His off-ice problems don't seem to bother them...

So, what can we expect for Evander Kane? He'll probably seek his options out there, but his demands could have a chilling effect on multiple organizations. The price for the Oilers to keep Kane will begin at 7M$. If it's with another team, Kane will ask for at least 8M$. That's a lot for him. Not because he doesn't deserve it considering his performances. It's because of his behaviour off the ice.
Who would want someone who has the spotlight on him for off-ice problems?
