After the trade, it's surprising that Teddy Blueger doesn't seem too upset, considering he's still playing in the postseason.

He was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights in March from the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he served as a depth center on a struggling team.
In exchange for Blueger, the Penguins received defenseman Peter Diliberatore and a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
Ron Hextall, the Penguins' general manager, praised Blueger's penalty-killing skills and professionalism during his time with the team.

You can stop debating about how Teddy Blueger found out he was traded to Vegas.

I just asked him. He said the story that circulated that he found out via social media was "not accurate at all, actually."
There were rumors that Blueger learned about the trade during the Dad's trip, but NHL reporter Taylor Haase recently confirmed with Blueger that he was told about the trade by Brian Burke and Mike Sullivan in Burke's hotel room in March. Blueger said his goodbyes to the team at a restaurant but didn't stick around afterward. It's unclear whether Crosby was present and quiet during the dinner, but if he was, Blueger hopes he was upset about the trade.
Overall, it seems like the trade was handled professionally, and it's unlikely that Brian Burke would have allowed it to happen any other way. Perhaps we'll hear more entertaining stories from Burke in the future.
