On Saturday night, a horrific tragedy happened during the AHL match between the NHL affiliate Canucks and Sharks' San Jose Barracuda and Abbotsford Canucks.
Behind his own goal, Jack Rathbone of the Vancouver Canucks farm teamwas engaged in fast paced collision; it appeared that he was clipped up high and at a great speed, leaving him motionless on the ice.
Rathbone remained unresponsive for a long time before the trainers decided to bring the stretcher out; thankfully, he gave a thumbs up to the spectators and everyone watching at home to show that he is still alive.
