This NHL season has been pegged as a bounce-back year for Flyers forward Joel Farabee.
After a rather disappointing season in 2022-2023, where the 23-year-old played all 82 games, scored fifteen goals and 24 assists for 39 points, and was a -1, he wanted to show the home crowd that he was back and wanted to score more goals.
This season, entering the second year of his contract extension of six years and $30 million by former general manager Chuck Fletcher, Farabee aimed to ring up the scoreboard. And he did, as he put a beautiful goal past Oilers goalie Jack Campbell after receiving a pass from Flyers rookie Bobby Brink.
The Flyers had a spirited start to this game, playing well on the Oiler's end and putting numerous shots on Campbell. Carter Hart has been solid so far and looks poised and ready to play.
