During the game against the San Jose Sharks, a referee ran over DeAngelo. DeAngelo ran into a referee while retrieving the puck with under two minutes left in the third period. The team won 6-3, but not without controversy.
After the incident, DeAngelo chewed out the referee and was given two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct.
DeAngelo did not escape the wrath of the referees, as he was given a 10:00-minute misconduct at 20:00 of the third period, what appears to be a retroactive penalty.
Apparently DeAngelo got a 10-min misconduct at the end of that period
