Former Flyers captain Claude Giroux has found himself comfortable with the Ottawa Senators. After spending 15 years with the Flyers and a short stint with the Florida Panthers, G decided to head back to Canada and play for his hometown team in Ottawa.
The Senators are now under new ownership with Michael Andlauer, and general manager Pierre Dorion seems to have put together a solid core of forwards to complement G this season.
The Senators were playing against the struggling Washington Capitals, who have fallen hard as their window for a Stanley Cup victory has closed. As the Capitals were losing 4 to 1, Thomas Chabot of the Senators gifted a goal to G, which he put home with relative ease.

Recently, G was awarded the Gold Stick as he crossed the 1000-point mark when the Flyers played against him over the weekend.
