Fellow ALS Fighters Offers Information on Borje Salming's Death
The hockey world received tragic news regarding the loss of Toronto Maple Leafs great and Hockey Hall of Famer Borje Salming on Thursday, November 24. When Borje was 71 years old, the ALS he was fighting started to worsen to the point that he would be unable to speak�for the remainder of his life.� Salming met up with Mark Kirton, an old teammate and close friend who is now battling ALS, at a Toronto Maple Leafs game on November 18th as part of a ceremony honouring his playing career. The two embraced deeply, as seen in the video down below.
Kirton recently commented on the passing of his close buddy Borje on social media alongside his wife Lisa. He offered some touching facts, which you can read below:
