The Buffalo Sabres were a fun team to watch this season, overachieving on what is considered a rebuilding team, the Sabres were close to making the playoffs before getting eliminated this week.

A huge part of that was with veteran goaltender Criag Anderson in goal. The 41 year-old gave the young Sabres team some leadership and confidence with Anderson in goal.
Anderson played his final game in Ottawa against his former team and where Anderson made a name for himself during his tenure with the Senators.

Anderson was stellar in his final game making 30 saves in a 4-3 overtime win. Anderson was originally drafted by the Calgary Flames in 1999. However, he never signed his entry-level contract and would go back into the draft being picked 73rd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks. After being bounced around the League with joined the Ottawa Senators in 2011 playing 9 season's with the Senators.
Anderson would go to Washington before joining the Sabres in 2021. People will remember Anderson for his heart also when wife Nicholle was diagnosed in October 2017 with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, a rare form of throat cancer, Anderson left the NHL to help his wife until his return when she was Cancer free.
