For the past few games, the Philadelphia Flyers have had a different face leading the charge from the bench. Assistant coach Rocky Thompson stepped into the role of head coach after John Tortorella opted to take a backseat and analyze the team from the press box. However, just like Tortorella, Thompson didn't hold back when it came to critiquing his team's performance.
Following a lackluster loss , Thompson called out the Flyers for their lack of energy and effort. He pointed out that the team lacked "life" and that it was evident on the ice. Thompson's honesty in the post-game interview was refreshing to hear, especially as the Flyers have struggled throughout the season.
