As the Philadelphia Flyers general manager Danny Briere, evaluates his team and makes necessary changes during this rebuilding phase, he faces the challenge of dealing with existing players and their contracts that are coming due.

It is no small task for Briere to determine a suitable contract offer that will benefit both the Flyers and their salary cap.
One player currently under contract negotiations is Flyers' centerman Morgan Frost. Frost completed his fourth season with the Flyers after being selected in the first round, 27th overall, in the 2017 entry draft.
Throughout his time with the team, he has played 158 games, scoring 26 goals and providing 43 assists, resulting in 69 points. Additionally, Frost has accumulated 42 penalty minutes and has a plus/minus rating of -26.

In the 2022-2023 season, Frost played 81 games, recording nineteen goals, 27 assists, and 46 points, with a plus/minus rating of -12. Head coach John Tortorella, due to injury concerns and other factors, decided to shuffle Frost around the lineup to assess his fit within his vision for the team.
According to David Pagnotta of The 4th Period, Frost's contract negotiations are progressing positively. Briere needs to decide whether to sign Frost to a long-term deal or a bridge deal, likely lasting around two years.
In my opinion, Frost deserves a contract longer than two years, as he is expected to play a crucial role in the Flyers' future success. Furthermore, I believe he will continue to improve each year as new players are added to the lineup.
