The Philadelphia Flyers are having another painful season so far heading into the new year, despite Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher adding coach John Tortorella being hired this off-season, he made little to no roster moves.

Tortorella has always demanded his players play a certain way or they don't play at all. Despite how you feel about Tortorella, he has given his players a warning that comes after many athletes have refused to stand for the national anthem.
After the Colin Kaepernick incident Tortorella would give a stern warning to his players saying:
"If any of my players sit on the bench for the national anthem, they will sit there the rest of the game," Tortorella told ESPN's Linda Cohn.

"I know these are hockey gamesbut I do look at it like it's for my country," Tortorella said, per Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch. "What his son Nick is doing by far dwarfs what we do. We're entertainers; we're playing a sport.

"But with my son over there this might sound selfish
I want to team up with him and help my country. I get pretty caught up in representing my country. There's nothing like it." - John Tortorella
