The Philadelphia Flyers are facing off against Metropolitan Division rivals the New Jersey Devils tonight and the Flyers will be without one of the top guys.

As Flyers Head Coach John Tortorella would announce forward James Van Riemsdyk wont play tonight:
John Tortorella says that James van Riemsdyk is out of the lineup tonight against the Devils. He's "banged up."

Must read on FlyersInsider

However, the timing of this seems odd to us with the trade deadline around the corner and Van Riemsdyk being shopped around you wonder if there's more to this then Van Riemsdyk being, banged up.
Sportsnet's Hockey Insider Chris Johnston gave a update today on his insider trading:
"Chris Johnston on Insider Trading says the Flyers willing to retain salary on JvR makes it almost certain he'll be dealt in the next week or so. Teams in on Meier are interested in JvR as a secondary option, teams like WPG, VGK, CAR, teams not in on Meier like MIN & COL as well."

I personally think Van Riemsdyk could be traded within the next day or two.
