Rebuilding NHL organizations is a very tricky business, rebuilds can go correctly or horribly if it's done wrong. It takes a lot of patience and a lot of creativity to make a rebuild go the way teams want.
The fact that Mr. Briere is willing to use the word rebuild and begin the process is very refreshing for the Flyers as this is not happened in at least a generation if not ever.
The Flyers need help all across the board and well into their age L franchised Leigh High Valley phantoms. The Flyers have numerous holes in many shortcomings that need to be addressed through trade, the draft and signings as the rebuild begins.
Certainly, the first steps would be to clear as much salary as possible and to take this team down to the studs and in mass as many draft picks as possible and prospects.
Mr. Briere certainly has the edge over everybody else to land this job permanently and it sounds like that may happen.
