Flyers Key Player Not Healthy For Opening Night? Has Yet to Skate in 7 Days
Flyers coach John Tortorella remains optimistic that Atkinson (upper body) will be ready for Opening Night, Charlie O'Connor of The Athletic reports.
Advice: Atkinson didn't practice again Monday, but it is expected that he will be on the ice with the Flyers on Wednesday. He still could be available for Thursday's regular-season opener versus New Jersey.
Atkinson did not play in a single preseason game due to injury. And has skated for the first time today, Wednesday October 12th (7 days), but was not taking place in line rush drills with the roster.
