There hasn't been much to cheer for if you're a Philadelphia Flyers fan this season, after Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher did minimal moves in the off-season, but believed the hiring of John Tortorella as the new Head Caoch would make a difference.
It has, but Tortorella can't do it all himself. However, the Flyers have been trying to fill the cupboards with a lot of young talent hoping to return respect back to this storied franchise. One of those glass half full things was when Flyers announced that Fletcher has signed prospect Ethan Samson to an entry level contract.
Samson was the Flyers 6th round pick drafter 174th overall in the 2001 NHL draft. Samson would share a special message to Flyers fans via his Twitter account.
