Throughout this season, trade rumors have been linked to James van Riemsdyk. After recovering from a broken finger, he has returned to the lineup.

As a result of his excellent play as of late, the 33-year-old left winger has received praise from his coach. In 13 games played he has 5 goals and 7 assists for 12 points.
Those numbers certainly will get attention as the season gets closer to the NHL trade deadline and teams will certainly be calling for JVR services.
During an intermission on the 32 Thoughts segment, commentator Jeff Marek mentioned that general manager Chuck Fletcher will be open to listening to offers.

As of now, JVR's contract holds a $7 million cap hit. If a deal is to be made, I believe the Flyers will need to retain a large portion of that money. If a team needs help on their power play and size in front of the net, he would be a great fit.
Only time will tell if Fletcher can trade JVR and help his aggressive retooling plan.
