Well, it was a pretty emotional night. The Flyers won 5-4 yesterday against the Nashville Predators, which was also the last game this season for Claude Giroux as a Flyer.

Let's stop employing the conditional. Giroux is going to be traded.
And according to Adrian Dater and Nasty Nuckles, Claude Giroux will soon be a Florida Panther.

The other thing is that the Panthers travel coordinator Stiles Barr was at the game yesterday.
Again, according to Adrian Dater, the Flyers would get Owen Tippett, Mackie Samoskevich and a draft pick for Claude Giroux. Samoskevich was the Panthers first round pick in last year's draft. The right winger, who can also play at the center position, is currently playing for the University of Michigan in the NCAA. He has 26 points in 36 games this season.
According to Anthony SanFilippo, Claude Giroux is not accompanying the Flyers to Ottawa. He is waiting for the deal to be finalize. Giroux will meet the his new teammates "tomorrow night in Anaheim and before they play in Montreal next Thursday".
Let's keep in mind that nothing is done for the moment. Adrian Dater and Brandon Sommermann indicated that the Avalanche are still hanging around, but that Florida's offer is the best for the moment...
A deal, either with the Avalanche or the Panthers, should get done at some-point today, according to Sommermann.
