Flyers Top Prospect Describes Hilarious First Interaction With John Tortorella
With the rebuild in full swing, the Flyers have a few prospects in the cupboard that will be special in their lineup in the coming years. One of those players happens to be Cutter Gauthier.
Gauthier was drafted in the 2022 NHL draft first-round 5th pick overall. At 19 years of age, he has been playing with Boston College throughout this season and has decided to stay with the college next season.
However, during an interview recently he described his first time meeting head coach John Tortorella and how at first he was all pumped to meet him and confident and then after meeting him was very shy and couldn't believe his energy.

the meet and greet of Tortorella went well as Gauthier had a big smile on his face and couldn't believe how ecstatic he was to meet him and get his career going.
During the 2022-2023 season, he scored fifteen goals with 20 assists for 35 points. This was over 30 games.
The Flyers have been busy working on trying to convert him from a winger to a centerman as the Flyers currently have limited depth at the centre position. That may change however in this coming NHL Entry Draft as the Flyers will have their first-round draft pick in the top 8.
