Flyers centerman does a fantastic gesture for a new NHLer
When an NHL organization goes through a retooling or a rebuilding phase, most of the fan base is down and out and has hope that the ownership and general manager will come together and make the team better in the long run.
It can be in trying time for fans as they want and crave the victories but they understand the process that it will take some time before that can happen.
The Flyers and the Canadiens played each other tonight, both teams are currently in or about to begin this phase. In the surprise move, Flyers Kevin Hayes gave a fellow Massachusetts resident Sean Farrell a gift that he will probably remember for the rest of his life.

As this is the first game for Sean Farrell playing for the Canadiens, this shows me that Hayes has solid leadership qualities and a geniunely great personality to give a gift like this, even if it's for a player on another team.

The Flyers are on the road for their next game and will land in Ottawa to play the senators on Thursday, March 30th. Game time will be 7:00 PM eastern.
