Much has been said lately about the Pittsburgh Penguins and their search for a new management team. It's been a few weeks ago when the announcement came that Brian Burke, president of hockey operations and former Flyers goaltender and general manager Ron Hextall were fired from their positions.
Since the news broke, the Penguins have been fairly quiet about their general manager search up until today. It's announced that the Penguins have numerous candidates, up to 12 that they intend to interview. One person in particular, Eric Tulsky has been mentioned and confirmed as a candidate for the Penguins job.
Since analytics has become a forefront in hockey analysis and the building of teams, the Penguins would benefit from a candidate like this as this team's window to win the Stanley Cup has closed and is in dire need of a retool if not a rebuild.
