With the NHL trade deadline less than two months away, NHL teams are looking to bolster their lineups as they prepare for their run down the stretch. It seems the need this season is defence and goaltending And the Flyers have both to offer.

One player in particular who will be called upon by most general managers who are in the hunt will be defenceman Sean Walker.
Walker has had a great year with the Flyers as he has bought into their system and has pumped up his value on the trade market.

While the Flyers are enjoying their season being only four points behind the Rangers for the lead in the metro division it's expected that the Flyers will sell some of their talent as they have wanted to do a full rebuild.
Walker would give any team a needed boost as he is a right-handed shot, would give teams a shutdown role and can put the puck in the net. In the past few weeks, his numbers have slowed as Risto, and the recent acquisition of Jamie Drysdale has pushed himself down in the depth chart.
Another attractive portion to Walker is his cap hit. He currently holds a $2.65 million cap which is extremely affordable for any team and most likely will not need to be retained by the Flyers. Many teams will covet him for that reason, and the return to the Flyers would be quite decent.
I would expect nothing less than a first rounder and prospect coming back to the Flyers for his services.
It's going to be a wild ride for the next number of months for the Flyers and their fan base as the management team will need to decide which direction, they want to go whether it's a retool or a full rebuild as explained at the beginning of the season.
