As the Stanley Cup playoffs roll on and the fourth round, which happens to be the Stanley Cup final, many fans of the sport are watching another tournament that's unfolding overseas in Europe.
The World Championships is currently reaching the end and will begin the medal rounds in the next few days.
Canada and the United States have made it to the semifinals, and two of the Flyers player and prospects are on their respective teams in helping lead them to the finals. Scott Laughton is on the Canadian team and Cutter Gauthier the Flyers' top prospect is with the United States.
Over the past eight games, Laughton has scored one goal with four assists for five points and a + 5. Gauthier currently has played eight games, has scored seven goals with two assists for 9 points and has two penalty minutes he's a + 11.
As the stats show, both men have been influential for their teams and both the United States and Canada are likely on a collision course for the gold medal once again.
