In the last few weeks the Philadelphia Flyers have certainly improved their game, have shown better attention to detail, and have scored in bunches. However, during a sequence against the worst team in the NHL, the Flyers showed where they could improve their offense.

The Flyers had a two-man advantage in the first period and preceded to show the home crowd their passing ability. After about 10 passes the puck eluded the defenseman which created a breakaway for the Ducks. Fortunately, no goal was scored.
Head coach John Tortorella has been working on teaching the young Flyers how to play the game in his vision with the defense-first approach along with scoring as a by-product.

With the current roster, the Flyers certainly lack up the middle and will need significant upgrades to give their bevy of shooters a better chance to score.
The Flyers beat the Ducks 5-2 and will be playing against the Chicago Blackhawks who are also a bottom-basement team on Thursday. Game time will be at 7:00 PM eastern.
