After another big win on Tuesday night against the Devils in overtime, the Philadelphia Flyers are set to finish the week with back-to-back matchups with the Predators and Red Wings before the brief, league wide layoff.

The Flyers have the potential to ride into the break with 20 wins, an 11-game point streak and a five-game win streak.
The Flyers have already turned some heads around the league, but heading into their first break of the season sitting at second place in their division could continue to put the league on notice.
Their first matchup will come on Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center as they welcome the Nashville Predators to town. Just last week, the Flyers dropped a close one to the Predators who defeated them in overtime to snap a four-game win streak.

The Flyers ride into the matchup looking to both avenge that loss and push their win streak to four and their point streak to 10. In order to do so, it's especially important for the Flyers to grab the lead first. When the Flyers score first, they are well over .500 and are able to set the pace for the rest of the way.
They Flyers will also need the performance of their goalies to continue to anchor the defense. Head coach John Tortorella has not announced which goalie will make the start, but most likely Samuel Ersson will be shooting for his fourth win in five games
On Friday night the Flyers will travel to Detroit and take on the Red Wings as they look to build upon their 1-0 shutout victory on Saturday night. The Flyers defense and Samuel Ersson had a stellar defensive performance on Saturday, but the Flyers offense will need to get going against a strong Detroit D.
After what has been an inspiring first 35 games of the season for the Flyers, they are sure to be tested after the six-day break as they will begin a long, four-game road trip where they will take on the Canucks, Kraken, Flames and Oilers.
Although all winnable for the Flyers, being able to adapt to being on the road will definitely be a test for the young squad.
