With the way this season is going for the Flyers, there's no doubt that the team will look to sell some of their UFA players. Claude Giroux and Justin Braun are two players that could be traded by the deadline, but Chuck Fletcher will maybe make a surprise move soon.

The Fourth Period published their updated "Trade Watch List", and there was something that will interest a lot of Flyers fans.
Jeff Petry, a 34 years old defenseman from the Canadiens, is 10th on this list, and two teams are reportedly linked to him: the Dallas Stars and the Philadelphia Flyers.

When you think about it, this makes some sense. Two of the three right defensemen of the Flyers could be gone by March 21st, in Rasmus Ristolainen and Justin Braun. Jeff Petry could fill the spot on the team's top-4.
However, he still got three years on his current deal, and his cap hit is pretty consequent at 6.2M$ per year. He finished with at least 40 points in his last 4 seasons with Montreal, but he's going trough a rough patch this year, registering only 10 points in 43 games.
It's important to note that since the arrival of Martin St.Louis behind Montreal's bench, his game has improved a lot.
If a deal was to be made, it would more likely be during the offseason. I don't think Fletcher will pull the trigger at the deadline to acquire Petry, and it will depend of Ristolainen coming back with the team or not.
Do you see him as a good fit for the Flyers?
