As the old saying goes, what's old is new again. That seems to be what the Flyers think will help usher in a new era as they turn the page from the Chuck Fletcher chapter and move into the Danny Briere and Keith Jones era.

The organization felt that changing the shade of orange back to the original shade what's the best way to show off a new logo. If you look at the two emblems they are virtually identical which means there is no major change.

This colour scheme was used from the adoption of the Flyers in 1967 up past the late 1990s. I feel that the fan base would rather have more changes to the roster and drafting to see a difference in the
Flyers from last year to this year and going forward.
General manager Danny Briere will get his first chance to show the fan base how he intends to build the team with the 7th overall selection in the NHL Entry Draft this year. The needs are many with the Flyers and with this being such a deep draft since 2003 he will likely hit a home run on his selection.
The draft will be on June 28th and 29th in Nashville.
