When the firing of Chuck Fletcher was complete, there was a sense that the Flyers would be going in a different direction starting right now with new interim general manager Danny Briere.

He felt that the team would not be needed to be torn down completely and gutted in a fire sale as they have many numerous players that are rookies and on the phantoms who may want to be looked at for a spot.
Tyson Foerster is one of those players and since he started his NHL career with the Flyers seven games ago he has looked nothing but impressive, and is even compared to Auston Matthews.

Tonight against the Minnesota Wild, Foerster showed yet again his scoring touch going from one end of the ice to the other.
Put the Flyers down four to three in the third period with five minutes and 30 seconds remaining, Forrester carried the puck down, skated at rapid speed and put a beauty of a shot past, Marc Andre Fleury.
After the game, Flyers forward Scott Laughton was asked a question regarding whether Forster has one of the best shots in the organization.
Foerster has an exceptional career ahead of him with the Flyers. I feel he will have a spot with the team next season as he continues to shine and get ice time. That's one positive step and hopefully many to come for this beleaguered organization.
