Even though this season was a bit of a train wreck for the Flyers, one player on their roster had one of his banner years this year. Flyers star Travis Konecny had his first thirty-goal season while playing 60 games, scoring 31 goals with 30 assists for 61 points with five power-play goals.
Konecny could have had more to his total but in the late part of the season, he suffered an injury which put him out for over a month and dampened his numbers.
During the Flyers' breakup day, the 26-year-old right winger discussed a few secrets on how he has improved his game and his goal-scoring ability.
It's always cool to hear what players have to say in terms of their game and how they conduct themselves every day. I also enjoy whenever the NHL decides to mic up one of the players and you get to hear how they discuss what's happening during the game with an occasional swear word here and there.
There have been rumours that Konecny might be involved in trade during the offseason but I can't see that happening as I feel he'll become one of the integral parts of this rebuilding phase the team is about to go through.
