Flyers to Participate in Something Special
The Philadelphia Flyers have received something special from the NHL.
Today, it was announced that the Flyers will participate in the 2024 Navy Federal Credit Union Stadium Series Games, along with three other teams. This will tie them with fellow rivals, Pittsburgh Penguins and Chicago Blackhawks, for the most outdoor games played in history at six.
The series will take place between February 18th and 19th. It will be their first outdoor game since playing on Lake Tahoe against the Boston Bruins, where they lost 7-3. Philadelphia has a losing record when it comes to all the outdoor games they played, with a record of 1-2-1. The Flyers only win came against the Pittsburgh Penguins, where Claude Giroux scored the overtime winner in a 4-3 victory.
