Flyers top prospect looks great at the World Championships
Life for Flyers top prospect Cutter Gauthier has been riding high this season and this year. He had an excellent year with Boston College in stats and overall play. He was invited and made the US world junior team in December and now is playing for the United States in the World Championships in Europe.
During a 7-1 victory over Hungary, Gauthier buried his second goal in two games.
Before the games, there was a scare that he suffered an injury that would have kept him out of the World Championships but it appears that did not happen.

During his season with Boston College, he played 32 games and scored 16 goals, 21 assists for 37 points. He was a + 2 and had 37 penalty minutes.
The thought has been that the Flyers are trying to groom him into a centerman rather than a winger as the Flyers are in desperate need of centermen to replace their aging players in that position.
It also gives him more diversity and flexibility to be used on the centerman position and the wing while the Flyers continue to do their rebuilding phase.
The Flyers will be selecting 7th overall in the upcoming 2023 NHL Entry Draft it will be fascinating to see who they choose at that position as there are so many players available of high calibre and potentially generational talent.
The draft will be on June 28th and 29th.
