As the Flyers look to bounce back from a 7-4 loss against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday, Philadelphia is set to welcome back a former captain and hometown hero. Future Flyers Hall-of-Fame member Claude Giroux is set to take the ice with the Ottawa Senators at the Wells Fargo Center at 1:00p.m. EST.

This will be Giroux's first time back in the Wells Fargo Center since his initial return in Nov. of 2022 that featured an emotional tribute video as Philadelphia gave their formal welcome back to the former captain.

Giroux's career needs no introduction to Flyers fans. Over 1,000 games played, 900 points, 609 assists, and countless memories such as "The Shift" in the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins and a 2010 Eastern Conference Championship. Giroux is one of the franchises all-time greats and is sure to have his number retired after his career.

Although Giroux is at the tail-end of his career on a team who currently sits in last place in the Atlantic Division, Giroux is still finding ways to produce on the ice. Giroux currently is second on his team in scoring with 38 points on 25 assists and 13 goals.
Although there hasn't been anything announced of any sort of tributes, Giroux is sure to get a rousing ovation when lineups are announced and he takes the ice for warmups.
Puck drop is set for 1:00p.m. EST.
