Flyers fans won't ever forget Russian goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov signing that monster contract he didn't deserve.

As part of the largest buyout in NHL history, Bryzgalov will receive $1.63 mil per year over twice the length of his remaining contract, so 14 years. The Flyers are now stuck paying Bryz until 2027. So what is the $60 million dollar former Russian goaltender?
After a long fascination with the universe, former NHL goalie Ilya Bryzgalov is pursuing a degree in the subject of cosmology! Bryzgalov always claimed if he wasn't a goalie he would of been a astronaut? He wasn't joking either infact here's what Bryzgalov said about the universe 10 years ago during a hockey interview:
"I don't know. Right now I'm very into the universe you know. Like what is it? Like how it was created. The Solar system is so humongous big, right? But if you see like our solar system, our galaxy on the side right it's so small you can't even see it.. and you think like, we have some problems here on the Earth we worry about? Compared to like?

Nothing. Just be happy. Don't worry be happy right now"

Cosmology is a branch of astronomy that involves the origin and evolution of the universe, so what's Hockey's loss is Cosmology gain I guess. We don't know if Bryzgalov will ever end up astronaut or not but the 42 year-old is living like a king thanks to the Flyers.
