The Tampa Bay Lightning are looking to get their grove back after a surprisingly slow start to the season. On Saturday night the Lightning knocked off one of the most surprising teams this season, defeating the Los Angeles Kings 5-2, looking like the Stanley Cup team again.

After the win Lightning's veteran forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare would speak with the media about his and the team's performance. However, one of the questions from the media would spark a heart-breaking revelation.
We would learn the sad news that Bellemare's Mother has recently passed away and although Bellemare wanted to take some time away, Bellemare would continue playing in honor of his Mother.

Bellemare scored a goal in Saturday's win and Bellemare said, "I thought she would be proud of me Bellemare said with tears in his eye and a his voice understandably breaking.
Following the game Bellemare would take a moment to point towards the sky. We didn't know the significance of that gesture until now, but knowing the reasons it's truly heart-breaking.
On behalf of Myself and everyone in Flyers Insider we want to give our sincerest condolences to Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and his family.
