Former Flyers Questionable Halloween Costume Goes Viral
The new romance between Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce has been gaining popularity worldwide, especially on all social media platforms. Now that Halloween has come and gone, pictures are emerging across every platform of people dressing up as both individuals for their Halloween costumes.
The NHL is no stranger to Halloween costume photos, as many teams and players join in and showcase some fairly elaborate costumes. The Swift-Kelce trend reached former Flyers forward Nicholas Aube-Kubel as he and his wife decided to switch roles and dress as the opposite sex.
According to the Instagram post, Aube-Kubel's wife Madison designed these costumes, and he mentioned that it helped boost his popularity. It is expected that this romance will be a significant storyline throughout the NFL season, especially as Kansas City is poised to make the playoffs.
As for Aube-Kubel, in the 2022-2023 season, he was with his fourth organization, the Flyers' rival, the Washington Capitals. He was drafted by the Flyers in 2014, in the second round, 48th overall. Throughout his career, he has played 222 games, scoring 25 goals with 37 assists, totalling 62 points and maintaining a +11 rating. He has one Stanley Cup to his name, which he won with the Colorado Avalanche.
Currently, he is with the Hershey Bears in the AHL.
