Former Flyer Nicholas Aube - Kubel has landed himself a new contract with his current team the Washington Capitals. Since leaving the Flyers organization in 2021-2022, Aube - Kubel has crisscrossed the continent with three different NHL organizations.

He was fortunate enough to land on the Colorado Avalanche, where he had his best season ever and had his name ingrained on the Stanley Cup. He also was the player that dented the Stanley Cup when he was trying to skate with it for the team picture.
Afterwards, he signed a one-year deal in the offseason with the Toronto Maple Leafs where his time there did not work out and he was only able to play six games in the regular season with no points.

The Maple Leafs traded him to Washington and he has made a name for himself once again as he has played 31 games scoring three goals with seven assists for 10 points and is a + 6 he also holds 38 penalty minutes.
His recent extension will net him $1.225 million for next season before he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
His recent play with the capitals certainly has cemented his role for another season and we wish him the best.
