The Philadelphia Flyers were trying to turn the page as fast as possible after the fanbase learned about the Cutter Gauthier debacle.

In a few tense weeks, general manager Danny Briere and his team managed to make a trade to flip Gauthier to the Anaheim Ducks for defenseman Jamie Drysdale and a second-round pick in 2025.
It was revealed on the Spitting chiclets podcast by Paul Bissonnette and former Flyers star Scott Hartnell that the Flyers gave an amazing welcome for the newcomer.
Hartnell described learning about what Briere did for Drysdale's family as they flew them in to watch their son skate in the Flyers uniform. Drysdale also received a standing ovation from the crowd as he skated around learning his new home. This is the kind of response the Flyers fans are doing to help welcome this youngster who was not expecting to be traded especially in the circumstances that followed.
Drysdale appears to be comfortable on the blue line as his first few games were excellent showing what the Flyers fans are in for after being moved.
The Flyers will be back on the ice at home against the Dallas Stars on January 18th. Game time will be at 7:00 PM eastern.
