Former NHL coach tackles the Flyers regarding Keith Yandle

Keith Yandle was back in the lineup yesterday against the Blue Jackets. However, it didn't go as planned as he finished the game with a minus-2 differential as he only spent 10:47 on the ice.

If we go back a little, Mike Yeo decided to stop his consecutive streak of games played in the NHL (989) in order to insert youth in the lineup. There was a lot of people who didn't agree with this decision, including former Flyer Jeremy Roenick.

This time, it's former NHL coach Bob Hartley who wasn't afraid to speak his mind regarding this decision from Mike Yeo.

"You are eliminated and you prefer to insert a guy who is 28 years old, it's a lack of respect. Keith is a great person, at worst play him as the 12th forward and don't play him a lot," said Bob Hartley.

Hartley compared this situation to how the Coyotes are treating Phil Kessel. For him, Arizona are taking way more care of Kessel and cited the example of when he played one shift to keep his streak alive before returning directly to Arizona for the birth of his baby.

"A few weeks later, you see an organization like the Flyers doing something like this? The player who replaced him played only 10 minutes, it's embarrassing," said Hartley.
