Mark Kirton, a former NHL hockey player and member of the Toronto Maple Leafs had quite the evening. He met up with his former teammate Maple Leaf legend Borje Salming to share his thoughts and support for his ongoing battle with ALS.
The sad truth is, Kirton himself is also battling with ALS. In 2018 he was diagnosed and has done an amazing job fighting this terrible disease. Kirton's NHL career spanned from 1979-1985 for the Maple Leafs, Red Wings and the Vancouver Canucks. He played 266 games, had 57 goals, 56 assists for a total of 113 points and 121 penalty minutes.
