Former Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders forward Kieffer Bellows is getting another shot at his NHL career, this time with the Carolina Hurricanes. The Hurricanes have signed the 25-year-old forward to a professional tryout (PTO) contract.

Bellows has faced challenges securing a permanent spot in the NHL and has moved between teams in recent seasons. In the previous season, he played 27 games with the Flyers, scoring three goals. Additionally, he contributed 10 points in 12 games while with the Flyers' AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
His most notable season was in 2021-22 with the Islanders, where he recorded six goals and 19 points in 45 games. Now, Bellows aims to make the most of this opportunity with the Hurricanes as he continues to pursue his NHL career.
